Holy Trinity, Berwick

St. Mary Magdalene church is largely medieval and is particularly interesting for the way in which it displays the evolution of a well developed church from a Norman core. Steep-pitched roofs have given way to low-pitched ones with parapets. The north aisle to the chancel (commonly called the Ogle chapel). There are many interesting carvings in the stonework and in the oak chancel screen and choir furnishings. A benefaction board of 1720 and a turret clock with a single pointer external dial gifted in 1796 are among other features.
